The Domestic Abuse Forum is made up by representatives from statutory and voluntary agencies. They help to implement the domestic abuse strategy to deliver a co-ordinated community response. The Forum usually meet every six weeks.
The prevention of domestic abuse cannot be achieved by any single agency and requires the coordinated efforts of both protection and support agencies. The Forum will actively work to co-ordinate efforts in Barnsley to improve services and the safety of individuals.
If you would like to know more about the work of the Forum or you feel your agency is not represented, please contact Colin Brotherston (Domestic Abuse Development Worker) on (01226) 774966. You can also e-mail Colin on the following link. colinbrotherston@barnsley.gov.uk
